§ 19-213. Speed in school zones.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a motor vehicle at a speed in excess of twenty (20) miles per hour upon any public street abutting upon the grounds of a public school. Such abutting street shall be defined and marked as a school zone, and such school zone is defined as that part of a public street abutting upon the property of a public school and extending laterally along such street between the nearest intersections to the corner limits of such school property.
